Circles

Meet neighbors. Make friends. Organize.

Circles is a social platform for the people around you. Find out what's happening nearby, go to local events, organize meetups, and meet the people who live down the street, in real life. It's run by a nonprofit, and your data is not for sale.

Social

Know the people around you.

Meet your neighbors

Everyone lives where you do. Learn their names and faces.

Find your people

Browse skills and interests to find the gardener, the bike mechanic, the guitar teacher.

Go to local events

See what's coming up, RSVP, and add it to your calendar. We remind you the day before.

Invite anyone

Share a link to your event. Guests RSVP with just a name and an email. No account needed.

Pitch in

Events can ask for volunteers. Pick a slot and you're in.

Stay in the know

News and events, by email or push. Small circles hear right away. Big ones get a daily digest.

Organizing

Get things done together.

Start a group

Gather around what you like, from a book club to a block cleanup. Make it private if you want.

Plan meetings

Build an agenda of topics to report, explore or decide. See who's free before you pick a time.

Post to a bulletin

Share announcements, links and files with your circle. Only members see them.

Share the work

Every circle gets a task list. Assign it, track it, check it off.

Roles

Choose a Leader, a Secretary, Facilitator, and Delegate. Name custom roles.

Decide together

Propose a change or a meeting. It goes ahead unless someone has a reasoned objection.

Circles inside circles

Your neighborhood is a circle. So is the book club down the street.

Every circle can hold other circles, and you can belong to as many as you like. A city holds its neighborhoods, and a neighborhood holds its groups, clubs and co-ops. Each circle has its own events, bulletin and tasks, seen only by its members.

Not like the others

Your data is not for sale.
Not to advertisers. Not to anyone.

No ads, no tracking

Circles doesn't sell your information, show ads, or use trackers or analytics. Its one cookie keeps you signed in.

Not used to train AI

What you share in Circles isn't used to train AI.

Private by default

Nothing is public on the web. Only signed-in members can see anything, and events and posts go only to the groups they belong to.

Real neighbors only

There's no open sign-up. You apply with your real name and a photo, and a person reviews every application. No bots, no strangers from across the world.

A nonprofit, not a business

Nobody owns Circles to profit from your attention. It exists to serve the people who use it. About the foundation.
